New Firm

As the Annus Horribilis (Most Terrible Year Imaginable) of 2020 finally draws to a close, I have an exciting piece of news to share with you all!

I’m embarking on a fresh legal journey as of January 1, 2021 by starting a new firm that will include my son Paul and a previous associate Erin Jajtner whom many of you may remember.

My new firm will be called Brownlie Legal.

This all started when my son Paul asked me if I would be prepared to train him as an attorney under the Washington (State) Bar Association’s practical law clerk program, which lasts for four years, and as a proud father, I couldn't resist.

Unfortunately, my existing firm doesn’t have the resources to support the program and so I decided to bite the bullet and start over again, after a 20-odd year stint at Brownlie Wolf & Lee which I originally founded with Murphy Evans in 1999.

My departure from Brownlie Wolf & Lee is completely amicable. For my business, corporate, and estate clients, nothing should change other than my contact information, and we will simply be transferring your files across to my new firm.

Many of you have appointed Brownlie Wolf & Lee as the registered agent for your legal entities. We will be asking each of you whether you would like to switch over to my new firm when your corporate licenses are up for renewal, although if any of you would like to switch sooner, we would be delighted to help you.

It has been a privilege to have been your attorney over the years, and I look forward to continuing our relationship for the foreseeable future.

Thank you all for your support,

Simon
